For seventy + mochi garments:
Measure yourself around the waist and hip as tight or as relaxed as you would want your jeans to fit. While denim with stretch gives a little, they hold their shape with wear. 100% cotton denim will relax around your body with wear

For Vintage Garments:
In most vintage garments you will be a different size to what you are in modern day sizing which is why we suggest following the measurements given against each product and then measuring yourself following the below guidelines.
A: Bust - Measure around the widest point.
B: Waist - For vintage garments first find out where the jean will sit on your body using the rise measurement given. Then, measure around your waist at that point.
C: Hip - Measure around the widest point.
D: Rise - Measure beginning from crotch point to the waist using the rise measurement given on the vintage garment.
E: Inseam - Measure from crotch point to ankle for your full size leg length. On vintage garments, we give the inseam as measured on the garment.
